Ruthie wrote her first short story when she was five. It was terrible, but she didn’t stop. Much to her parents’ dismay, she got a degree in creative writing and wrote many more short stories. Many were bad, but some were actually kind of good.
Ruthie has been a teacher’s aide, a grant writer, and a massage therapist, among many other things. She currently lives in the Pacific Northwest.
When she’s not writing, Ruthie enjoys singing and playing guitar, drawing, and avoiding the crushing weight of adult responsibilities.
